Our Leadership

Pastor  Scott is responsible for leading staff and other congregational leaders  in defining and furthering the mission of God’s church in this place.  Pastor Scott oversees the committees  and task forces that carry out that mission.  Pastor Scott leads the ministries of preaching and presiding at worship and shares in the  ministries of pastoral care, service, and education.

Pastor  Scott received a M.Div. from United Lutheran Seminary and was called to  pastor Swamp Lutheran Church in the fall of 2021.  Having been born and  raised 2.5 miles from the church  and a graduate of Cocalico Schools, being called to Swamp was like  coming home.  Pastor Scott is a graduate of Penn State (BA & MS) and  a US Marine Corps veteran who worked previously in grocery store  management, state government administration, real estate,  and volunteer management.  Pastor Scott and his wife, Jen, are the  proud parents of Abigail, a student at George Washington University.  

Outside of church life, Pastor Scott  enjoys family time, reading, wine, food/cooking, politics/current  affairs, home improvement projects, and vacations to Cape Cod, MA.
